Courses and Workshops

We provide health education sessions and groups covering a wide range of women’s health issues, aimed at promoting good health and well-being among women of all ages.

Join one of our groups or sessions:

  • Yoga – Every Monday within the school term, join us for Yoga with our instructor Summer. This class is FREE. To register, please contact the Centre.
  • Mindfulness Catch Up Group Fortnightly, Tuesday 11am. Our mindfulness catch-up group is an opportunity for those who have completed the three week course to keep connected and to practice mindfulness regularly.
  • Introduction to Mindfulness: If you are new to mindfulness and are eager to learn the skills to being in the present moment, this course is for you. Completing this 3-week course allows you to join the mindfulness catch-up group. The next course: November 14th, 21st, and 28th, 10am to 12pm. Please contact the Centre to register.
  • Mothers & Daughters – Puberty MattersOnce a school term (Please see social media or call the centre for the upcoming date) . This two week group allows mothers/carers and their daughters to learn together. It will help them to understand and deal with the changes that take place during puberty and adolescence. Contact the Centre to register or to find out the upcoming dates. NEXT UPCOMING DATES: November 7th & 14th 2024 5:30pm – 7:30pm. 
  • The “M” Word – Menopause and Perimenopause information sessions are held bi-annually. Please contact the Centre to find out upcoming dates. NEXT UPCOMING DATES: TBA.
  • Women’s Walking Group– Monday mornings, 9:30pm (9:00am during daylight savings) near the Steam Engine at Macquarie Park (except public holidays). Make new friends and stay active with our weekly walking group. Details can be found here.
  • Wellness Garden Group – Our Wellness Gardening Group is a great opportunity to learn new gardening skills, freshen up from an old hobby, or just give you the chance to socialise amongst this amazing group! This group runs in 6-week stints and take a break in-between. Group is also quick to fill spots, please contact the Centre to enquire. 
  • Art Therapy – Explore the themes of ones self and the elements of nature with Mandi. Next dates: October 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th 2024, 5:30pm – 7:30pm. 
  • Out of the Dark – If you have experienced or have experienced domestic or gender-based violence, this group offers a safe environment run by Centre counsellors, to offer a therapeutic group experience. Next dates: November 6th and 13th November 2024, 10am till 2pm.
  • Conversation and Craft – Next dates: October 15th 2024 for a 4-week course. 10am till 12pm. 
  • Line Dancing – Introduction to line dancing, seasoned dancers welcomed as well! Next dates: November 5th, 19th and December 3rd 2024. 4pm till 5pm. 
  • Women’s Therapeutic Drumming Group – For women who are feeling stressed and who may be alcohol reliant, this workshop offers a safe environment to emotionally regulate and connect with likeminded people. Next dates: October 9th 2024 for 4 weeks, 4pm-5pm.
